Ian and The Miller Band played for worship this morning. I may be a little biased, but it is amazing to hear worship flowing from people you live with; knowing the joys and struggles they are going through and watching their talent become complete through their worship to our God is an exciting thing to me. Their first set was very short, but once Pastor Mike started speaking, I was aware that the music continued! Beautiful, soft cooing and shushing and children’s movement surrounded me in the auditorium. Occassionally a wee one would squeal and a mother would softly redirect, then another would coo in response to the ebb and the flow of the sermon.
I glanced around the auditorium and felt good. This wasn’t a sterile environment made only for adults – it was family coming together and completing the worship.
I was blessed.
